Your Passions Test

Do you desire to live your life waiting for a miracle to happen? Do you believe that “things happen for others, but not for me”? Are you fulfilled emotionally?

Would you like to achieve your dreams and ambitions? Would you love to find true love and friendship? Do you look forward to each day that you are working?

There is no reason why you cannot live the life you chose. You can create your life to be exactly as you want. The secret is to do things that you feel passionate about.

How? I hear you ask. I have responsibilities, I cannot walk away from my job and the salary it brings me.

No, it is not always possible to bring about immediate change, upon a whim. Yet there is time, in all of our lives, to work towards making the changes that will bring about more joy and fulfilment into them.

It may be that your relationship has become stagnant:

• You may need to discuss issues that are creating friction between you and your partner
• Express your needs and listen to their needs – do this by agreeing to give each other time to speak without interruption
• Remember to praise their good points and avoid criticising small things that annoy you (as you most probably did when you first met each other!)

Maybe you are frustrated and bored in your work.

Ask you employer/boss for a review.

• Find out if there are opportunities to gain promotion, different tasks you can undertake that may bring about variation in your daily routine.
• Arrange think tanks’ and ‘brainstorming’ sessions with colleagues to highlight areas that are of common grievance and determine to find mutually agreeable solutions.

If you develop harmony with your friends and co-workers, then you will look forward to greeting them each day of your life and you will gain enrichment by their presence. Bring harmony in your life by finding productive ways of brightening your environment. Spring-cleaning and decluttering. Place candles and flowers into a room. Take time each day to gently exercise your body and mind with Yoga and meditation.

Make it a rule to speak to other’s courteously and kindly. Find ways of seeing other’s points of view and expressing your own needs.

A card for someone’s birthday, a text, an email, a phone call, a note of comfort when someone is distressed – small things make a huge difference.
