Ruled by Mars

A sturdy tower struck by lightning, with the top (lifted by the blast) falling down. Flames roar from three top windows as two figures fall, head-first, from their ruined refuge.

Disaster is striking or has just struck. False structures, institutions and beliefs are going to come tumbling down, suddenly, violently and all at once. The card denotes that nothing can stand against the will of the divine.

Lightning may be seen as karmic payback, by destroying the fortress that contains the fortunes obtained by abuse of power and exploitation of nature and the people.

When we exploit mother earth, she fights back, often violently. Once the upheaval has passed, however, peace and calm is restored and new growth can begin. BANNER

Reversed: You may be falsely accused of something and suffer some form of oppression or isolation, or you may portray a rebellious attitude, causing dismay and shock to others. However, this phase will pass, creating new opportunities

When The Tower appears in a reading, is it possible that the Querent is unaware that things around them are not as they seem. They may believe everything is fine with their relationship, family and values. Events are about to happen that will turn their life 'upside down'.

As a reader, all that you can do to help them prepare, is indicate that they are going to experience a very difficult period. It will, however, all be for the best in the long term and a period of regrowth and opportunity will follow.

The Tower can also symbolise being hit by the light of spiritual understanding. The Crown, our psychic mind, linking to universal energies. We sometimes need to receive a bolt of lightening to jolt us further along our karmic path. In this understanding we welcome change and eagerly await the next period of growth.

As we grow and change we sometimes loose friends who cannot understand our newly developed concepts. These will quickly be replaced with like-minded souls. It may be that in the future some of our former acquaintances will follow the same path and rekindle a close and loving friendship.

Flow with difficult phases.
Change can be a blessing in disguise.
Eventually all will be revealed
