The Moon affects nature and all living things, nightly bombarding the Earth and all her life forms. It has a powerful allure, it is full of beauty, legend, myth and romance.

The tarot card often has a woman's face in the moon - she appears to be deep in contemplation and meditation.

As it is ruled by Pisces, it deals with emotions, dreams, visions, illusions, and great creativity. We may find that our psychic powers are enhanced and we have greater insight - this is a time to trust your intuition.

Reversed: Be on your guard against unforeseen perils, lies and hidden enemies. Keep your wits about you and be guided by your 'inner voice'

A crayfish or scarab emerges from the water pulled by the lunar cycle which affects the oceans, natural tides and most living things. The Moon and the Sun are the two major sources of the astral energies . The closer they are to you at any given moment, the stronger the influence. The day of a new or full moon will provide the strongest influence in each month.

There are two canines, usually a dog and a wolf baying at the Moon. The wolf is symbolic of wildness and animal instincts. Many people show pronounced psychotic behaviour when there is a full moon, the card indicates that they may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial. It is wise to avoid the use of alchohol or other drugs except for those prescribed.

The dog represents domesticity and routine life. There is a path leading over the horizon, lighted by the moon. Whatever difficulties and confusion you are experiencing, stay on the path, even if you are filled with doubt, all will turn out well in the end.

To grow, we have to experience and learn
There is always the light of day which follows a long, dark night
