The Hermit is usually depicted as an old man, carrying a lamp, leaning on a staff. Walking in the world of unconsciousness with his lamp of knowledge and wisdom
guiding us to the light. It is here that we can seek answers to our fears and insecurities, hopes and dreams.
This is the time to reflect upon our lives, take stock of our successes and failures. It is a time for contemplation
upon the deeper meaning of our existence. You may be feeling insecure, unsure, frustrated, seeking new direction.
The Hermit in a reading tells us to be patient, cautious and prudent. "When the student is ready the Master appears".
Understand and know that if you tune in to your 'higher self' and listen to your 'inner voice', guidance from the
Universal energy will provide us with solutions. When we walk the path of the Hermit we travel deeply within our soul.
We will discover ways to self-knowledge and mastery. We then become the Master, teaching the student.
Reversed: Do not be obstinent and impatient. Do not disregard advice from older and wiser people.
Be cautious with whom you share confidence.
Take time for yourself, appreciate and reflect upon nature, love and have belief in yourself
