Temperance Card XIV

Ruled by Sagittarius

Tarot Deck: Morgan-Greer © US Games Systems Inc.

A winged angelic figure is pouring water from one vessel into another representing the flow of the unseen and mysterious into the seen and known. The flow of life force which creates harmony between opposites, a balance between positive and negative.

The Angel stands with one foot in the water and one on the earth signifying balance of the conscious and subconscious mind.

Generally shown as the figure of a young woman, angels are of any gender. We all have male and female aspects within us. Within relationships we should strive to balance yin and yan energies to create balance and harmony in our lives.

Reversed: Avoid over indulgence, making hasty decisions. Expect domestic strife and conflict

As Temperance is ruled by Sagittarius which on a surface level is about "tempering." In a reading, this card can mean that the Querent is experiencing their families and friends in opposing camps, with no way of uniting them. As the card relates to the union and harmonisation of opposites it symbolizes self-control, the ability to handle volatile factors and so bring about a positive result. Be patient and seek openminded individuals from each side, who will become your allies in bringing about a solution.

Positively we can expect peace to be restored in troubled times, harmonious relationships and a successful outcome from difficult circumstances.

The Temperance card can represent an angel or guardian spirit looking over you.
Think positive thoughts and have faith that your wishes will materialise
