Justice Card XI

Ruled by Libra

Deck: Universal Waite - © US Games Systems Inc.

Justice is numbered eight in some decks and eleven in others. We see a figure, often crowned, seated between two pillars representing mercy and punishment. Karma informs us that whatever we do today, positive or negative will return to us in our future.

This card suggests that ignorance of the law is no excuse in courts of men and equally in laws of life. We should strive to cancel out any wrongdoings with good deeds. The two-edged sword symbolizes the precision needed to make clear judgments. The scales show the need for balance between good and evil, right and wrong, for although the human judicial system may sometimes be fooled, divine justice can never be escaped.

In a reading, the card often indicates legal matters which need attention. Adjustments within a personal or business partnership. Pay attention to detail, attempt to deal with matters in a fair and compassionate manner. You can then expect the outome to be successful and to your advantage.

Reversed: The card can indicate bias, misguided advice, obstruction of the law, or legal complications

We have the freewill to make our own choices and influence our own future. Taking responsibility for our deeds, thoughts and actions. Not laying blame with others. Justice reminds us of this personal power.
