A convential scene of the last Judgement, with the archangel Michael sounding the last trumpet, when the dead rise, judged on their conduct in life, their sins forgiven so that they can move to heaven - The Judgement tarot card (ruled by the planet Pluto and the element of Fire) is about death, rebirth, ressurection, forgiveness and new beginnings.

Often, in order to move forward in our lives, we need to address issues from our past - our own sins and those who have sinned against us - bad habits which need to be stopped.

This card advises us that we must judge ourselves and others who have offended and hurt us. Be prepared to totally and absolutely forgive,leaving the past behind. Only then will be transformed, renewed and free to grow mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

When it appears in a reading, the Judgement card is about taking decisions that will affect the rest of your life, however intimidated or scared you feel.

• Leaving a partner who is abusive, mentally and physically.
• Ridding youself of situations that are restricting your growth.

You need to heal and learn to love yourself so that you can become transformed, renewed and released in order to 'see the light'.

Reversed: If opportunies and decision are ignored and you refuse to change when change is vital, judgement cannot be evoked and stagnation will result.
